This five-day residential for young people aged 16–25 that have a love of the outdoors, the adventurous activities that it can offer and an interest in working to conserve it.
Throughout the week you will take part in a variety of activities to discover and explore the National Park and surrounding areas with like-minded peers.
Challenges might include climbing, gorge scrambling, mountain trekking, canoeing and an overnight camping expedition. A key aspect of the residential will be your conservation day, where you will conduct work to conserve an area within Snowdonia National Park.
Our residentials also give you the chance to develop a range of transferable skills. These types of skills help across many areas of life and are particularly good for including in job or education applications. Here are some of the skills that are likely to be covered in this residential:

The course is suitable for a Duke of Edinburgh Award Gold residential. As part of the residential course you will also be able to gain the John Muir Discovery Award.
This course is open to young people aged 16-25. When you book, it is essential that you enter the age and attendees name in the Order Notes at the checkout. If the attendee is under 18, the booking must be made by a parent/guardian.

Team building challenges, introdcutions and welcome tour of the centre

Land-based activity
Rock Climbing or Ghyll Scrambling
Trekking through nearby mountains and wild spaces
Establish camp and set up for the evening, sharing stories and socialising.
Day 3
Pack up camp and continue walking through the countryside and mountains
Bushcraft or canoeing
Mammal trapping

Conservation Day
Orienteering or nightline
