There is a real beauty that can unfold when you make your own skin care products, whether it’s a simple cleanser for your face or your own unique luxury perfume oil. Having an appreciation for the natural ingredients, understanding where they come from and their precious qualities can inspire us to bring a whole new level of cherishing to our everyday skin care rituals.
In this course you will be introduced to a range of botanical ingredients that we will then use in mixing and making various products for you to take home with you. We will spend some time becoming familiar with a range of essential oils, their incredible scents, as well as their health and wellbeing properties. You will feel confident to choose your own blends, with support, to enrich the already nourishing base products we will put together. The ingredients used will be of the highest quality and organic where possible.
You will make: 10ml Organic Oil Perfume, 100g Organic Soap Bar, 25g Organic Natural Face Cream, 25g Organic Botanical Balm, 25g Macerated Oil
Tutor: Laura HoyLaura Hoy is an Essential Oil Consultant and completed her training in Holistic Aromatherapy & Essential Oil Science with Neal’s Yard Remedies in 2009 and there began her ongoing adventure with nature and nurturing and a renewed awareness of her sense of smell. As manager of NHR Organic Oils for 7 years, she gained experience with sourcing quality oils and deepened her awareness of the range of products available and their uses. While developing client relationships she understood there is a need for supportive advice on using oils and began sharing her expertise by way of training, workshops and private consultations. Her way of working is hands on and she encourages clients to reconnect to their own sense of alchemy, whether it be making a personal fragrance or choosing how to bring a bespoke product into daily life. Essential oils and other ingredients can be incredibly powerful tools to support an array of day to day and chronic health conditions but the most important factor for Laura is the way each person uses them, as with everything, our intention is key and the way we are is an important part of the magic. Laura is a member of the ‘International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists’ and the ‘Esoteric Practitioners Association’.
