Learn how to make your own traditional festive wreath with pines and moss, winter foliages, berries and ribbons and also learn the skills to create other wonderful decorations, giving a personal touch to your Christmas. The course includes all equipment, materials and resources you need, and requires no previous experience.
Through the day you will develop skills and techniques in flowers and foliages that will help you create wonderful designs in the future. By the end of the day, you will have learned some basic techniques of flower arranging and floristry that can be progressed in the future. You will finish the day with a beautiful wreath to adorn your front door for the season.
Tutor: Karen Davies-JamesKaren Davies-James is floristry trained at Capel Manor College achieving Higher Diploma in Floristry. She is constantly attending workshops herself to grow her skills and techniques. She has run her own workshops in the past and demonstrated at ladies groups and flower clubs, the flower arrangers society locally and surrounds. She is Vice Chair of the Woodford and District Floral Arrangement Group that are based in Wanstead. She was involved in the Capel Manor Gardens Floral Festival this year and the Floral Art and Design Show at the Business Design Centre in Islington in August 2019. She is keen to share her ideas and teach and show others how to make lovely flowers for the home.
