Getting out in the countryside and keeping our bodies moving is really important not only for our physical health, but our mental wellbeing too.
Join us at FSC Blencathra to enjoy some fantastic winter hikes in the Lake District National Park and World Heritage Site.
Will we amble over a classic fell on each days hike whilst soaking in the fantastic views the valleys and fells have to offer, with the opportunity for a stop at a local café for a warm drink. Exact location of walks will be dependent on weather at the time.
The walking level of this course is level 2 which means there will be 3 to 8 miles of brisker walking on any one day, some steep hill climbs possible. Some regular exercise before the course is recommended, especially if you do not walk these distances regularly. Winter weather in the mountains can be harsh and the programme may change accordingly.
Tutor: Centre StaffThis course will be led by our experienced and enthusiastic tutors.
We have received the ‘Good to Go’ mark in recognition of following government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social/physical distancing.
