This course is now fully booked.

This Adventures and Nature course is aimed for families with children over 8 years of age wishing to spend quality time together in one of the most beautiful areas of the Lake District. The course is designed to be fun and safe and to encourage young people back into nature and to reap the benefits of the outdoors.

There aren’t many occasions when you would encourage your child to build fires or eat wild plants but that is exactly what we will do! You will get the chance to try new skills and techniques; identify edible plants in their natural habitat, build your own shelters and have all the fun and laughs that go with wilderness bushcraft.

We’ll take to the water in canoes on Derwent Water or one of the local rivers and explore mountain tops on foot. We’ll take time to find out about the local woodlands and get involved in some practical conservation. There will also be a chance to try orienteering, get involved in some bushcraft skills, learn how to light fires in the outdoors safely and build shelters in the woods.

Please note: You will be sharing a room with just you and your family
