Level 1 training is a great place to start if Forest School is a new concept for you. This training shows how the principles of Forest School can be incorporated into educational and everyday settings.

Through guided sessions and free play we hope you will have developed a positive relationship with the natural world, and be encouraged to take children outdoors to help them become creative, independent learners.

The Level 1 training takes place over two days. The dates for this course are:

  • Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th October 2022

This is a non-residential course.

Learners will also need to visit a Forest School Session which they will arrange.

This course is accredited by Open College Network West Midlands.
This qualification is designed to enable learners to develop an understanding of the principles and ethos of Forest School. It will prepare learners for further study and employment in the outdoors and to progress on to the level 2 Award for Forest School Assistants.

Minimum age: 14
