Explore the natural history of the Yorkshire Dales through this lovely direct method of printmaking with local printmaker Hester Cox. Using acrylic plates and specialist drypoint tools, Hester will demonstrate a number of techniques and guide you through the creation of your own small edition of monochrome and coloured prints.

We anticipate that this course will run with between 4 and 10 participants.

Tutor: Hester Cox

Hester has a BA (hons) in Illustration and works from her studio in Horton-in-Ribblesdale. Her colourful and richly textured limited-edition collagraph prints reflect her appreciation of the natural landscape. She is a member of Leeds Fine Artists, Printmakers Circle, Printmaking Online and Ålgården Studios in Sweden. Awards include an Extending Practice Award from Chrysalis Arts in 2011, which allowed her to work with the Mercer Gallery and the British and Yorkshire Museum, and she was one of ten artists selected to take part in Mirror Images, an international printmaking exhibition, which ran simultaneously in North Yorkshire, Scotland, Finland and Sweden in 2015.
