Combine your love of walking and drawing. We will go out and explore the local landscape each morning on foot taking photographs and making fast sketches. This will be followed by an afternoon and evening creating finished colour drawings in a sketchbook style using coloured pencil and watercolour, with particular reference to David Hockney’s My Yorkshire series. We look at contrast, tone and how this can be replaced with a colour framework. Taught as a conventional colour drawing class, we also touch upon collecting visual information using a digital device and how conventional drawing techniques apply to creating digital art.
We anticipate that this course will run with between 4 and 10 participants.
