Soft pastels are a vibrant and exciting medium, ideal for capturing the colours and texture of the landscape or for painting the subtleties of a portrait.
Carole’s enthusiastic and informative demonstrations will guide you through a range of exercises to develop and extend your pastel painting ability, looking at mark making, surfaces, colour mixing, blending as well as using pastels over watercolours or acrylics.
You can be inspired to paint the surrounding idyllic landscape and buildings, or paint a portrait, working from your own or Carole’s photographs. Suitable for all abilities.
