People and beetles: From Beauty to Utility

Natural History Live by Kelly Jowett

From the dawn of human history, beetles have inspired and helped us to survive in the world, however, our relationship with them is not always mutually beneficial. Kelly explores our connection to beetles and tells us how her work is uncovering ways we can help beetles to help us.

Kelly is a scientific researcher working on the ways that nature can benefit agricultural productivity. She is passionate about all invertebrates, but particularly the beetles that she studies.

The FSC is now delivering a series of  Natural History Live events. These events are free online natural history talks, comprising of a 30-40 minute talk from a guest speaker, followed by a question and answer session. We host them on Zoom and we will send out joining instructions on the day of the event. Sign up for the FSC Biodiversity newsletter to find out about our other online learning opportunities and receive exclusive discounts.
