Due to Covid-19 we have had to cancel courses from March to 1st August, we hope you will find an event later in the year that you can attend.
This course is ideal for photographers looking to release the potential of their cameras and their own creativity. To be able to reach your potential as a photographer you first need to master the camera, the first part of this course is designed to help you achieve this. By learning about the menus and the controls of your own camera you will be able to get the camera to work the way you want it to rather than the other way around.
This course is open to all levels photographers but would be most suited to those photographers who already have a basic understanding of their camera.
Over the duration of the course we will be photographing Flatford Mill and the wonderful Suffolk countryside in all its glory. There is so much variety of subjects to photograph at Flatford Mill from wonderful architecture to atmospheric river scenes. This area is known as Constable Country and there’s a good reason. Constable loved to paint the countryside around Flatford Mill. It’s stunning for both artists and photographers. We will also venture out to other great locations around Suffolk which really adds to the variety of this course.
Many subjects will be looked at in depth on this course including controlling depth of field, creative use of shutter speeds, composition, user of light and colour, shooting a digital panoramic, painting with light, use of photographic filters and exposure metering.
Tutor: Steve HedgesSteve has been a professional photographer for the last twenty-five years. During his career he has photographed a huge variety of subjects including public relations photography, commercial photography, portraiture, weddings, landscape and nature. Steve is fully qualified with the Master Photographer's Association and the Royal Photographic Society.
