Enjoy a microscopists weekend at Flatford.

The river Stour at Flatford including the Mill Pond has a good variety of fresh-water habitats to investigate and has always provided us with lots of interest.

In addition, there is a dipping pond, woodland and meadow area as well (plus gutters and moss for Tardigrades!) This is an opportunity to share, swap and learn new techniques with fellow enthusiasts, do your own thing, and use the excellent facilities of the centre to investigate the microscopic life of the River Stour and other local habitats.

You can bring your own microscope, or use the centres own instruments and equipment. For identification purposes, there is an extensive library of keys and monographs available.

Tutor: Self Led - No Tutor

This is a Centre Assisted gathering of like-minded individuals who use their equipment and our facilities to meet together as a self-led workshop. There is no lead tutor as they are self-sufficient.
