A creative experience for those who want to explore and go beyond the boundaries of watercolour. Many modern watercolours are not just wishy-washy, fugitive paints – they can be positively dynamic.
Using a variety of water media including watercolour, inks and mediums, you will be able to expand your existing painting skills and discover how to create expressive interpretations of the natural world.
We plan to:
- Capture the essence of a moment rather than photographic or realistic interpretation
- Allow the paint to ‘do its own thing’ – and watch it working it’s magic
- Be brave and open to spontaneity and imagination
- Try out the magic of a range of fascinating media and create exciting textures and colour combinations
- Build contrasts for dynamic results.
- Mix up the media and explore the capability of a variety of materials with freedom of expression
Please note we now only have non-residential places available on this course.
