• ‘The One Show’ visits EFFC   BBC1’s topical evening programme ‘The One show’ visited Epping Forest Field Centre on Tuesday 1st June to film children participating in the Centre’s “Minibeast and Forest Explorers” themed family drop in day, broadcast on Wednesday 2nd June.
• Artwork donated to EFFC for all to appreciate   A local artist who has a passion for insects in Epping Forest in particular has created a stunning visual piece of art incorporating artistic, educational and scientific facts for Epping Forest Field Centre.

• EFFC loves minibeasts!   With the United Nations declaring 2010 to be the International Year of Biodiversity this article looks at how Epping Forest Field Centre provides formal and informal learning about invertebrates.

• Four decades of meteorological data at EFFC   Staff at Epping Forest Field Centre have been taking daily weather recordings from the Met. Office’s on-site meteorological station for nearly 40 years providing valuable data for several of the Centre’s courses.

• FSC first non-school organisation to receive geography accolade   The Field Studies Council (FSC) is delighted to become the first SGQM partner organisation and is the first non-school organisation to be awarded the prestigious Geographical Association’s Key Stage 3 Secondary Geography Quality Mark Award (SGQM), in recognition of excellence in teaching and learning in geography at its field centres.
