Discover Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and Stratford with Field Studies Council

Field Studies Council London delivers dynamic, hands-on courses across East London. We use a mix of vibrant urban environments and green spaces to bring learning to life — helping students sharpen their geography and science fieldwork skills and connect with the natural world around them.

An inspiring location for study

Students may not remember the Olympic and Paralympic Games, but it was the catalyst for regeneration, which is still going on today and there is still more to come. The scale and significance of the impact continues to be a site worth studying. Every visit is different as we explore the residential, commercial, infrastructure and cultural impact of regeneration within Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the surrounding areas of Stratford and Hackney Wick. The 560 acres of parklands include riverside lawns and wetlands, wildlife and formal gardens, and a network of walkways and paths providing opportunities to explore the natural world.

Explore our locations

Our carefully selected teaching sites across QEOP and Stratford are fully accessible and easily reached by public transport or coach. During the day we will walk between teaching sites we use. We provide any equipment, resources and handouts required for the day.
