FSC Biodiversity Fellows

was funded by Defra to provide a sustainable supporting network for volunteers to help build capacity within the recording sector at all levels. Over 400 people signed up, 200 of them booked courses.

Tomorrow's Biodiversity

is an FSC project funded by Esmee Fairbairn for five years. It will help us to identify important gaps in identification and monitoring skills (for plants, animals, fungi etc) and address some of them with new training and resources. The first two years will focus on finding the gaps and the next three on filling them.

In the last three years grants to the value of almost £60,000 have been awarded to 36 different groups (761 young people).

Free School Resources

The overall goal of our BEAGLE biodiversity project is to improve the quality of learning outside the classroom and enhance students' motivation to learn. Lessons from Nature aimed to develop innovative approaches to sustainable development. Funded by the Big Lottery Fund OPAL encourages people to get back in touch with nature by enabling them to explore and study their local environments.
