The Royal Geographical Society (RGS) and Field Studies Council are unveiling a range of new discounts for RGS School Members, representing an exciting new development in the organisations’ long-standing collaboration.
From September, those holding RGS school membership will benefit from discounts on residential and day fieldwork and teacher CPD led by the Field Studies Council. These new offers will support both schools and students – helping to further embed geography fieldwork into school curriculums and enriching student learning outside the classroom.
The RGS’s School Members will get access to the following exclusive Field Studies Council discounts:
- 15% discount for new school residential customers (any school that has not booked a trip in the last three years)
- 5% discount for existing school residential customers
- 5% discount for residential Geography camps for young people
- 5% discount for new or existing day customers
- 15% discount for Teacher CPD (min. group of 10) in school, at Field Studies Council centres or online
The new discounts will run alongside an on-going and popular programme of free fieldwork support led jointly by Field Studies Council and RGS. The programme includes online fieldwork CPD sessions for teachers led by the Field Studies Council’s Education Manager, Jo Harris, as well as resources and shared articles in the RGS’s new publication Geography Today and regular advocacy work championing the importance of fieldwork for school students.
Join the RGS as a School Member for just £50 a year.
