We asked nature enthusiast and wildlife spotter, Bek, for inspiration and advice for new nature spotters!

Q: What’s the best thing you’ve seen?

Definitely a cuttlefish! I’ve always wanted to see one in the wild after watching them on nature programmes. Just the way they move in the water and are able to change their colour so quickly, it’s mesmerising!

Q: What would you still like to see?

As a marine enthusiast I would just love to continue to see the megafauna of the ocean, so I would probably say an orca!

Q: What top tip would you give to someone new to nature spotting?

Appreciate the big and the small! You’re not going to see whales and dolphins every day, but there’s so much still to find and enjoy. Get outside and enjoy the experience. It will take time to find things, but that’s the beauty of it. You can keep going and always be finding something new.
