I believe that good self-care practices should be for everyone and for all ages.

Self-enrichment activities are crucial for a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle, and for feelings of self-empowerment, self-gratification, and ultimately greater happiness.

Join me, Tania Bryson, Herbal Practitioner, to explore a variety of self-enriching practices to help bring about positive change in your life.  We’ll be taking a look at a variety of mindful activities, from massage to breath work to foraging and the making of botanical potions.  It’ll be 2 days of self-pampering and the learning of techniques to bring more balance and meaning to our lives.

About the tutor

Tania Bryson

I am Tania, a mother, teacher, herbal educator, and wildcrafter of heartfelt herbal creations at Dream Thyme Herbal. I am a Devon girl, having been brought up by the sea and spending most of my time playfully exploring the beach or cycling around my coastal village by mountain bike, a pastime I relished.

I began my journey into plant-based medicine after becoming a mother to my now 22 year old daughter, Kyeesha.  She has been the pollinator of my passion to create natural and earth friendly remedies for everyday living.

Spending many years in Australia taught me a deeper appreciation of nature, with its vast rainforests that we lived amongst, in the sacred area of Murwillumbah, northern New South Wales.  A trip over to Sumatra in my 20s opened my eyes to the plight of the orangutans and their loss of habitat to palm oil plantations. This experience later fueled my determination to educate people about unethical cosmetics and to provide them with a range that was both palm free and effective.  My teachings allow me to go one step further and to actually guide people through the making process using simple, local ingredients, whilst being mindful of our impact on the global environment.

As a parent who understands how busy life can be, I want to enable families to benefit from what I have learnt over the years.  That’s why I offer herbal educational workshops in Devon where you’ll learn how to care for your family & friends naturally, using what grows around you or even what’s already in your kitchen cupboard!  We adopt traditional techniques to make seasonal remedies, such as syrups, tinctures, infusions, balms, remedies & more! Delving into history, we’ll be enjoying plant folklore too & realising it has so much to teach us.  The joy is being together with other like-minded people and sharing our herbal wisdom to help us on our journey of life.

Explore our range of craft courses hosted by our engaging tutors and learn from their expertise and skills. Our art courses are a chance to meet like-minded people and a chance to unwind from everyday life. They are a great opportunity to experience the UK’s glorious countryside surrounding our field centres.

This course is open to participants aged 18 and over only. For under-18s, please contact the centre directly or see our young people courses and activities for families.
