Choosing the SWT’s Highgate Common as the venue for this course was an inspired choice as the meeting room was ideal for the presentations and then Common itself an ideal place to observe, catch, identify and release a various solitary wasps species. An informed speaker aided by the local knowledge of the Common’s volunteer group who guided us to the best place to find the wasps.
