What a wonderful day. Absolutely fascinating and I definitely now have the bat habit.
One constructive criticism: Roger needs a bit of editing. It was a super hot day and speaking to the rest of the group we all agreed sitting in a lecture for a full day was not what we signed up for.
I think Roger should go back to starting at 2pm, cutting slides down to 80 max. It should be seen as a taster, not a comprehensive course in bats. The material would have fitted comfortably into a three-day weekend!
Keep it simple and get people outside on a nice day with a few hand-outs.
Slides are a comfort blanket in the corporate world as well. Just talk to us and ditch most of the PowerPoint.
I’m still giving 5 stars because I love Roger and his mannerisms, and learned so much.
Ditch the evening meal, start in the afternoon and make it an 8 hours max.
