The effort he must put into preparing for these courses must be gargantuan with potted samples of plants that he has personally grown especially for the course that otherwise would not have been seen on the field trips, thus making it even more relevant to those who survey/botanise elsewhere in the U.K. If you’re wary of having a go at these subjects that don’t have big and showy flowers, don’t be! – this course benefits the inexperienced and improvers alike.
