Excellent location (I was non-residential but wish I’d stayed).
This was a new course and may have been refined since.
The course involved too much driving for me – but if you didn’t know the area, that might be a good thing, and give you a chance to see different areas. We visited Borrowdale, Thirlmere & Whinlatter. A walk to Borrowdale screes to look at succession was a bad idea – path inaccessible for a group – but the marvellous Borrowdale Yews made up for it.
All things considered, I’d recommend the May course in Wales with Matt Parratt over this as a better learning experience.
