This immersive acrylic portrait painting workshop helps artists develop their portrait painting skills in acrylics. Learn facial proportions, colour mixing for realistic skin tones, light and shadow, and expressive brushwork. You’ll complete a portrait from start to finish while building confidence and technique.
By the end of the session, each participant will leave with a completed acrylic portrait, greater confidence in painting techniques, and practical skills they can continue to build upon.
About the tutor
Haydee Noemi Flores Perez
Haydee Noemi Flores Perez is a self-taught artist and passionate art educator with over 15 years of teaching experience. Throughout her career, she has inspired students of all ages and skill levels to develop confidence, creativity, and strong artistic foundations.
Working across a variety of mediums, Haydee teaches acrylic painting, charcoal drawing, oil painting, mixed media, and digital painting. Her workshops focus on building confidence, understanding colour and value, and creating expressive portraits using simple, effective methods. Her approachable teaching style makes her workshops both engaging and accessible for beginners while offering valuable insights for more experienced artists.

- Bring a high-quality printed portrait photo with a single light source, same size as your canvas for the final portrait. It should feature a simple background, and a clear head-and-shoulders crop. No complex details like teeth showing in wide smiles, complex eyeglasses or busy flying hair.
