About the tutor

Gemma Gilbert

Gemma has been a macrame artist since 2020 and her first ever project was a macrame plant hanger; they are still one of her favourites to create. She is in love with the craft due to its versatility and creativity and just loves that something so beautiful can be created from just a few simple knots. During her time as an artist she has attended an online course and has even travelled to Seville in Spain for a week’s macrame retreat. Macrame is more than a hobby for her, it is a way to calm her mind and to bring people together whilst creating something beautiful.
