At Field Studies Council we know that the new changes in WJEC geography fieldwork assessment at GCSE require schools to change how they deliver fieldwork.

We have worked closely with WJEC subject advisers to plan teacher training courses to take you through these changes and support students with their investigation planning, fieldwork skills and data collection. The course is designed to ensure teachers acquire the knowledge and skills needed to support their students in completing the NEA for each year of submission.
Our teacher training days will support teachers to deliver WJEC GCSE Geography – Unit 2 Developing Fieldwork Skills. As well as the opportunity to develop your skills and understand the requirements with our expert tutors, it is also a great opportunity to meet and share experiences with other secondary geography teachers. You will receive a warm welcome at the centre and the day includes a sandwich lunch.
Timings 10:00 – 16:00
Arrival at the centre from 09:45
Throughout the training we will be sharing expertise in how to set up fieldwork working through the 6 stages of enquiry with a small-scale example of data collection.
