Let your creativity be inspired by the natural world

Watercolour courses inspired by nature.

Watercolour paint as a medium is transparent, yet vibrant. Its versatile nature means you can make the colour strong but translucent too. It’s all down to your water to paint ratio.

So you can add depth, easily blend and create your very own style.

Watercolour paint is created from a mixture of natural or synthetic pigments. It also includes gum arabic which is a natural ‘glue’ created from the sap of the thorny Acacia tree.

Watercolour painting can be a great place to start for beginners and anyone new to painting. It’s relatively inexpensive to get started and you can do so much with minimal equipment.

Some people use watercolour to paint in a very loose but free and expressive way. Others prefer a tight, detailed and realistic method.

Watercolour enables you to create simple glazes, but you can merge and blend colours. You can create gradations and add fine details.
