I loved the discussion-based aspects to the live parts of the course, as opposed to rehashing what we had already covered in our pre-learning each week. It was great to have a few more facts and tidbits sprinkled in also.I found the course material interesting and easy to follow.

The mix of what we learned about, the history of ornithology and citizen science blended with how to ID birds was great. I was surprised how much I enjoyed learning about the history side! I found the bird sketching video REALLY helpful- and have enjoyed sketching birds many times…
It was taught by professionals and they taught the basics well. I learnt enough to feel confident going out and trying to identify birds better and know how to group them.
Really enjoyed having the basics presented in a very complete way, a great way to make sure everyone has all the fundamentals they wouldn’t get from just reading books.
