A really good course. Carefully using inks and acrylics to enhance water colour. Linda and Caroline are patient and friendly teachers as well as being loads of fun. Flatford mill is of course the ideal venue for this type of thing with its charming houses and stunning scenery.

This followed the previous course and was with Siân. I really enjoy Siân ‘s classes. She is an excellent tutor and always has something new to impart. Did not finish my painting but can continue it at home.

And a bonus to have a jolly group of fellow participants. Already tackling some hitherto rather ignored ‘yellow daisy types’ and…

More than an introduction …. this is a really good start to successfully identifying lots of species. Quite a lot to take in in one shortish day but follow-up identification proves it was effective even for a beginner like me! Use of a teaching microscope would help with group work…

Micro moths are difficult and Dave gave us a very helpful summary of the families and features to look for to narrow down possible species. He explained how many can be more easily identified via their leaf mines and I really felt inspired to go out and look for some!…
