Brilliant holiday – we all loved it!
The good points – helpful, patient and friendly staff, well equipped centre, good location in snowdonia, very good food (better than Blencathra), and great, well planned activities – both the free ones and the paid for activities especially the gorge scrambling which was the highlight of the whole holiday. Also decent games room for the kids and an adult only sitting room.
The bad points – although the food was good, if you were towards the back end of the serving times it was cold – the serving dishes in the canteen didn’t seem to be heated so if you want hot food get there early. Also the salad leaves put out for the sandwiches on a morning were starting to go brown and slimy – they were clearly not fresh and were what was left over from the evening meal the night before. Both are minor complaints and could be easily addressed by the staff. We would not hesitate to return to this centre.
