I loved this course. I had already known I was at least a little interested in moths, but I believe this course has given me a life-long passion that will hopefully last for the rest of my days. The structure of the course allowed me to learn a great deal about many different moth species, including their adult and larval forms. There was a good mixture of outdoor trips and indoor (educational) lectures. Looking at moth traps in different locations in the Scottish Highlands allowed me to see some very special species that I almost definitely wouldn’t see in my local area (Central Scotland). In fact, this trip gave me my first opportunities to look at moths in traps, these were exciting and informative experiences. The Kindrogan Field Centre is an absolutely beautiful setting, so any course based here will automatically hold a great amount of engagement and interest. The food provided on this course was much improved from my last visit, with fantastic vegetarian options (although I admit I am not a committed vegetarian!). I am missing this course greatly, it was an amazing experience. The people on the course, especially our tutor, were wonderful people and I look forward to being with more moth enthusiasts like them again soon.
