Course covered several methods for surveying for hazel dormice, as well as general ecology and information on habitat management.
The course had a good mix of theory and hands on experience. Students were able to conduct nest box searches, nest tube searches and check footprint tunnels. Students were also given the opportunity to handle the animals.
