This was an excellent course. Penny, who filled in at short notice, was perfect as a leader. Her knowledge of limestone species is excellent. In particular, she introduced an interesting angle to this course by not only identifying different species but also discussing WHY they were there – it brought back memories of studies about plant strategies from the 1980s (perhaps even more relevant today!). We had a great day and learnt a lot.
