The course did what it said on the tin, and provided a good introduction to using a Flora. My knowledge improved as a result of the course and the course is definitely recommended.
There was a large amount of information to accumulate in a short space of time. the course could easily have been longer. Consequently a few minor criticisms
1) A few typos in the course notes
2) Dissecting plants and ID’ing them is best done in the lab rather than in the field, especially if damp and windy. However, you do need to know what features are important so they can be noted, or the whole plant collected.
3) Sufficient information on the course to get an easy 50%+ in the test at the end, but very difficult to get 100% without prior knowledge or a longer course
