The course itself was very good and I learnt a lot. Although it is advertised as being aimed at beginners in Grasses, most of the other course members were already quite knowledgeable, and needed the course for their professional development. Not unreasonably, the course was mainly geared towards them, and there was only a small amount of classroom teaching. My rating would have been higher if the accommodation/food had been better. The heating in High Stables was not working, as had been the case on the course I attended a month earlier, although this was fixed after the first night. The shower was nearly useless, giving 3 second bursts of a feeble trickle, barely a few inches from the wall. The food was variable in quality, sometimes rather stodgy and lacking in fresh vegetables, but plentiful however.
