Sharon and Peter were brilliant teachers, their enthusiasm and knowledge combined, resulted in a very informative and enjoyable course. Sharon did a brilliant job of tailoring the course to each person’s needs/interests to ensure every person got exactly what they wanted from the course. Their laid back, informative approach to teaching ensured that they were fully approachable and uncondescending no matter what question was asked. The centre was very difficult to find and I would certainly recommend more signs for the FSC and less misleading ‘no vehicles’ signs. I only found the centre as I followed a FSC van! The main house was brilliant, alongside the food and facilities there. Great cakes! The equipment, including microscopes/dissecting forceps etc could have been better and were very outdated and difficult to use. I stayed in the High Stables accommodation and I have to admit, the room wasn’t a very good standard. The smell of mould/damp was very over powering and I had to keep the windows open. The bedding was outdated and stained with blood, I didn’t feel very comfortable sleeping in it. The shower was frustrating as you had to keep pressing the button. Overall, the rooms could really do with updating! But still, the course was of an extremely high standard! I really enjoyed it 🙂
