What do we need to survive in the wild?

Identify basic survival needs and practise the bushcraft skills you would need to survive outdoors.

Build a shelter against the elements; learn how to light a fire the wilderness way; make your own hot drink maybe even cook a tasty snack!

A day filled with back to nature activities, great fun for children and adults alike.

Most suitable for families with children between 7 – 12, but open to all.

Tutor: Centre Staff

Before You Attend

Please meet outside Reception of Slapton Ley Field Centre in time for the 11am start.

We would love to take some promotional photos of you enjoying the sessions, if you are happy to be part of this, please download and fill out the photo consent form found here, or you can fill out a paper copy on arrival at the centre.  We will provide a packed lunch, please tell us if you have any dietary requirements on arrival.

What to bring?

Warm clothes, waterproofs and sturdy shoes (walking boots or wellies). We will be out in the elements, so please dress appropriately.
