Using a traditional method of textile printing, known as Block printing, you’ll create your own original ideas by experimenting on pieces of calico fabric with fabric paints, pens, crayons and explore new techniques, using different printing blocks and how to create patterns.

No previous experience is needed, just your desire to have a go! You’ll even get to make your own blocks from a variety of recyclable materials and found textures from nature. Then you’ll proceed onto printing your own truly unique design onto your Tote bag……to take shopping or give as a present to someone special!

Tutor: Amanda Clement-Robinson

Being born in Colchester, I studied at Colchester Art School & then went on to do my Degree at Winchester School of Art. I have always had a love of history and where things come from. I enjoy working with lots of different textures, mediums and colours. I feel really lucky to live and work in such a beautiful place, along the River Stour and the surrounding areas of Flatford and Dedham.

The Stour’s wildlife and nature is abundant both on, in and along its’ banks, now being recognised as an “Area of Outstanding Beauty”. Great for a local Artist like me, for inspiration all year round!
