COP26 Youth Debate – Free Event for Young People (18-25)

Our Youth Council will be organising and hosting this debate; for young people by young people.

The FSC Youth Council is made up of 12 volunteers who represent and provide a voice for the increasing number of young people who engage with the FSC.
This event will be a chance for people aged 18 – 25 to discuss the ideas and reservations you may have on how the world is addressing climate change. The FSC wants to hear from all sides of the debate. So whether you are for or against the proposals of COP26, this will be a safe and diplomatic place to have your voice heard.

You can also attend this event as an audience member if you do not feel comfortable actively debating. There will also be an opportunity to informally discuss after the formalised debate.

It’s time to speak out. This is your future

The event will span over an hour and a half with its goal is to bring together young people passionate about the environment. We will discuss and debate the major conversations occurring at the UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties. The debate topic will be proposed by the Youth Council but will be put to the wider young person community to decide on through social media channels in the week before the event.

This event will be a chance to openly discuss the issues and solutions facing our climate with like-minded young people. You could use this event to network with individuals and discuss further opportunities you may be able to get involved in to help protect and speak for our planet. Whether you are a current student, recent graduate, working within the sector or have an interest in the environment, this is a forum for you.

Please note: This event is for young people aged 18-25 and is limited to 50 people. However, if you fall outside of this age range but would like to attend as a professional to support this event and young people, please get in touch at [email protected]
