Open to all mediums and styles from realism to abstraction. We use a combination of studio time & painting out on location to bring freshness and renewed vitality to your art.
You are invited to bring a selection of your work along or photos of your work for self evaluation.
Tutor: Linda HollingsheadLinda Hollingshead runs dynamic painting courses, well known for her enthusiasm and encouraging manner. With a lifetime of painting experience Linda shows practical ways to help you bring the best out in your painting. Bringing her in-depth knowledge and mastery of different media she demonstrates ways to try something new in easy steps and as an expert on colour she shows how to use colour most successfully in your art.
Before You Attend
What to Bring
- Your usual art materials for your medium with a range of colours (watercolour, oil, acrylic, oil, pastel, mixed media.)
- A sketchbook/workbook.
- Surfaces of your choice eg. paper/ canvas/ panels.
- For outdoor- an easel if you like to use one, a folding chair or stool.
About FSC Flatford Mill
We have four buildings that are used for visitor accommodation. Whilst most rooms are either en-suite or have a dedicated bathroom, there are some rooms in The Mill that share showers and toilets at the end of the hall. If this is unsuitable for you please make the office staff aware upon booking or as soon as possible.
Please be aware that you are visiting a Field Centre that caters in the main for school parties; the accommodation is basic and dormitory style, but warm and comfortable.
Check-in is between 1400-1800, if you are arriving after 1800 please advise us, so we can ensure you are advised of access codes, room key location, and room location.
You will meet the tutor at Dinner, and you will have your first session after Dinner.
