The aim of this course, suitable for all abilities, is to create a sketchbook journal of your stay in Devon.

We will be working mostly in watercolour although, being a journal, there will also be some pen work and ideas for hand lettering.

David provides plenty of demonstrations in his workshops, and there will be valuable lessons on colour mixing, using a limited palette and working in monotone. He will also provide help with drawing and there will be tips on perspective.

Our days will be spent sketching outdoors at a variety of locations, filling our journals with landscapes, seascapes, buildings and interesting vignettes within the scene such as rocks, flowers, trees and architectural details.

All the locations contain a variety of subjects to paint and draw and, by the end of the course, you should have a truly unique memento of your time in Devon.
