Grab your torch and join us on an evening bat walk for families
Join FSC staff and find out more about the UKs only flying mammal – the bat! As dusk falls, we will explore the area, which is perfect for bats, with its mix of ponds, grassland and woodland. We will use bat detectors to find out what species may be living locally, learn about them and about what makes each species different.
This is a family activity aimed at children age 7-12. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

FSC want to inspire people to be curious, caring and passionate about our environment. Our family activities are designed to do just that. Led by FSC staff, they are based outdoors, and explore the natural world. The sessions are a mix of games and activities that will inspire you to find out more and discover how you can help wildlife on your doorstep. To take part you do not need any experience or any expensive kit, just an enthusiasm for being outside and discovering nature.
