Summer, the season when fresh green leaves and buds are shooting into life, one of the best times to capture the beauty within the ancient woodland of Epping Forest. Explore the woodland with a professional photographer and learn how to get the best out of your camera. Discover some of the many ancient pollards that are hundreds of years old. Study the details of plants and leaves with macro photography; add light to small scale subjects with flash and led lighting or use wide angles to view the Forest canopy and feature the larger trees. Look at the bark and leaves from an artistic viewpoint to create abstracts worthy of the Tate Gallery. Be guided by your tutor to achieve exciting results and afterwards look at some of these images in Adobe Lightroom and see how they can be enhanced in one of our Field Centre classrooms with refreshments.
Learn how to use your camera and good composition, understand depth of field and enhance your technical and creative skills all amongst likeminded people where you can share ideas and good company.
To help with wildlife identification during the session, each participant will be given a free seasonal Field Studies Council WildID fold-out guide.
Included in the price is a pub lunch at the King’s Oak in High Beach from a specially selected menu.
