This beginner course will provide you with an introduction to British wildflower families, covering a mixture of the more common and some unusual species, with an opportunity to identify these in the field!
This course will enable you to build skills in identifying wildflower families in the field, in the presence of an expert tutor. You will go out into the field and study the plants surrounding your course venue, observing the wide variety that can be found.

Tutor: Henry Miller
Henry is a PhD student at University College London, researching the distribution, ecology and conservation of aquatic plants. He has experience in plant conservation assessment, having worked as a Red List assessor at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. He is passionate about the British flora and co-leads plant recording for the London Natural History Society. Henry enjoys teaching plant identification and leading botanical recording walks, helping people build confidence with plants in the field.
