This example PGCE geography course programme gives an idea of the sort of sessions you can expect on your PGCE field trip. The activities would be adjusted to suit environmental factors, logistics at your particular centre and your objectives, following a discussion with an experienced FSC tutor.

| Day 2 (Saturday) | Fieldwork focus- physical Based on or off site, students explore an area local to the centre. Using a range of quantitative, traditional fieldwork techniques, participants design and share fieldwork ideas that will engage young people in the enquiry process in preparation for KS4 exam application or building the geography toolkit through pupils’ education journey. | Fieldwork focus- human Based on or off site, students explore an area local to the centre. Using a range of qualitative or sensory fieldwork techniques, participants explore novel fieldwork ideas that will enhance their confidence and help engage young people in the enquiry process in preparation for KS5 specification requirements. | Planning the NEA Workshop exploring how we can prepare students’ NEA toolkit throughout their geography careers and what the teacher role is in the NEA. |

Tuition
Tuition is delivered by talented teachers, with not only an expert knowledge of their subject and field work locations, but a passion for the subject being taught. Our education team are fully DBS checked, and undergo a regular and rigorous training process. All tutors have received training in first aid, risk assessment and water safety.
