Richard Crompton has been working with bats for over twenty years. He started doing commercial wildlife surveys in 1998. Richard then worked as a conservation and project manager with the Forestry Commission in mid Wales for seven years. In 2003 he launched his own consultancy and in 2006 left the FC to concentrate on Wildwood Ecology Ltd full time. He was a trustee of the Bat Conservation Trust (BCT) between 2001-2010. Richard spends much of his time training professionals as a course tutor/author for BCT and many other courses and seminars and was awarded Fellowship of the Linnean Society in 2015.
