This is available for booking for any length of time, from 1 – 5 nights (four different adventure days available). A series of adventurous activities will be available including rock climbing, abseiling, mountain walking, gorge scrambling and mine exploration. Guests can book to start on any day within the range for a cost of £85 per night per adult and £65 per night per child including one activity for every night stayed. (children 8+, please discuss with centre staff when booking).

Monday 20th July - Arrival from 14:00
Tuesday 21st July - Mountain walk Adventure day
Take on the challenge of one of Snowdonia’s many exciting mountain peaks that can be accessed within a 30 minute drive from the centre. The choice is extensive and only restricted by the weather and the aspirations of the group. Mountain walking challenges you both physically and mentally, and encourages team work to ensure all participants succeed.
Set your challenge, work together to achieve it and bask in the glory when most of the population of Wales are below you.
Wednesday 22nd July - Rock Climbing Adventure Day
We have access to some excellent local crags, as well as many other great sites in the Snowdonia National Park and surrounding areas. Rock climbing allows participants to test themselves individually and support each other, and also access a different vantage point on the beautiful landscapes that the crags are located within. Challenge yourselves, get up high and enjoy the view.
Thursday 23rd July- Gorge Scrambling Adventure Day
A chance to experience the raw energy of a mountain stream first hand, with a journey up and down a series of rapids and waterfalls. Teamwork skills will be tested as groups work together to overcome obstacles along the way. The activity can involve walking, climbing, sliding and jumping through the gorge. On return to the Centre, after everybody has dried off, we could complete some team challenges in the grounds if time allows. Challenge yourselves, get wet and enjoy the raw energy of nature.
Friday 24th July - Mine Exploration Adventure Day
Ever wondered what it was like to work in a mine? An adventurous offer here at Rhyd y creuau is exploring and journeying through a local slate mine. Not only will you have to tackle challenges such as paddling across an underground lake or climbing a waterfall, but you will also be immersed in the fascinating industrial and geological history of Snowdonia. On return to the Centre, after everybody is changed and comfortable, we could do a short bush craft session in the grounds if time allows.
Challenge yourselves, experience North Wales through the eyes of a slate miner, work together to complete your journey back into the daylight.

Before You Attend
What to bring

- Warm clothing is essential.
- Sun cream and sun hat (hopefully these will be essential!)
- Waterproof jacket and waterproof trousers (can be borrowed from the Centre).
- Outdoor footwear (walking boots and wellies can be borrowed from the Centre).
- Day rucksack, warm hat and gloves (can be borrowed from the Centre).
- A torch, water bottle, thermos flask and lunch box.
- You will need a towel and a full change of clothes if you are taking part in a gorge scramble adventure day.
We will provide specialist equipment, but if you have your own you are welcome to bring it.
