Join us on the River Severn for a one‑day Leading Learning Outdoors CPD using a supported canoe journey on the River Severn, starting from Preston Montford.

This is not a canoe skills course. Boats are the medium, not the message. The focus is on:

  • leading learning beyond the classroom
  • professional judgement and decision making
  • managing uncertainty, challenge and inclusion
  • embedding reflection into real experiences

Through a carefully structured river journey, participants experience how adventure learning works in practice – and how it can be transferred directly into school trips, outdoor lessons, fieldwork and enrichment days.

And to be frank: it’s also just a great day to paddle the Severn, just before half term.

No previous paddling experience required. This free event welcomes primary and secondary teachers, year heads, subject leads, PE teachers, or any staff who are involved with outdoor learning. Places are limited to keep the experience small, supported and reflective.
