This certified course is the 16 hour first aid in the outdoors course and covers paediatrics and is relevant for Forest School leaders, teachers or outdoor educators who work in school grounds or local outdoor environments.
It is not for those working in remote wilderness/outdoor adventure activity environments.
The course is a hands-on course conducted mostly outside looking at real life scenarios that may be encountered in Forest School or natural outdoor spaces. This course meets the requirements for those completing a level 3 Forest School Leader qualification. It also meets the Forest School Association recommendations.
The course is part peer assessed and part assessed by the trainer. You will have the chance to practice dealing with first aid situations in a fun and friendly way. The course is very practical and engaging throughout.
Please note: Minimum age 18 and that this course is non-residential.
Course Tutor
Anubis are a local training provider who we have worked with for many years. The have a wealth of experience in delivering First Aid training particularly in outdoor settings and have tailored this course to meet the needs of those working in the outdoors, with young people and small children. They have gone to great lengths to produce a course for us which fully addresses all the needs of people working within this profession.
