This workshop is suitable for any level of experience, including total beginners.

All the materials and tools for the course will be supplied.

Included in the course fee are enough materials to complete one lantern.

About the tutor

Claire Fernig

Claire works with lead, copper foil and fused glass techniques from a small studio based in Felixstowe, crafting a wide range of items from traditional leaded windows to delicate fused-glass jewellery. Claire takes a lot of inspiration from nature, a love of sailing, the beach and the sea around where she works and lives. Claire accepts commissions, runs workshops and repairs leaded stained glass.

“I am very interested in using recycled glass and metals in my work along with traditional techniques. Glass is a fabulous medium in which to create beautiful designs to reflect the world.”
